Roma Culture: Customs, Traditions & Beliefs
The emergence of mobile herding lifeways in Mongolia and eastern Eurasia was one of the most crucial economic and cultural transitions in human prehistory. Understanding the process by which this played out, however, has been impeded by the absence of a precise chronological framework for the prehistoric era in Mongolia. Model results demonstrate a cultural succession between ambiguously dated Afanasievo, Chemurchek, and Munkhkhairkhan traditions.
Geographic patterning reveals the existence of important cultural frontiers during the second millennium BCE. This work demonstrates the utility of a Bayesian approach for investigating prehistoric cultural dynamics during the emergence of pastoral economies.

Dating Eastern European Girls: What You Need to Know
Fifteen years after the accession of eight former communist countries, the EU still behaves as two halves rather than a whole. For their part, while the Baltic, Western Balkan, and Central European countries remain, on balance, strongly pro-European, many of them feel ill at ease in the EU. The public in these nations feel that their countries have too little influence upon EU policymaking. Meanwhile, their governments are increasingly less inclined to play by the rules, with some, such as Budapest, making a virtue out of rebelling against Brussels.

Over the summer I was able to travel to Herceg Novi, Montenegro for an art program that lasted 4 weeks. I had heard of Montenegro before applying to this program but knew absolutely nothing about it. Before leaving, I did some research and found that Montenegro is a Balkan country right next to Croatia, bordered by the Adriatic Sea. The language spoken there is Montenegrin, with a little bit of Serbian, Russian and Croatian thrown in.
Just from pictures found online I knew that Montenegro was absolutely beautiful. Once I got there I was able to see for myself how accurate Google was, and was able to spend the month taking photographs and painting. However, going into my trip I did not know anything about the culture of Montenegro. I went to middle school in a predominantly Russian area, though, so I do have experience with Russian customs and the language in that way.
One of the things I noticed growing up adjacent to a very Russian neighborhood Brighton Beach in Brooklyn and throughout my school career was the distinction of the men and the women. Upon going to Montenegro, I noticed some similarities in the men and women there. One thing in particular that I noticed was the way the women dressed. The girls, some as young as 13, wore tight dresses and heels every day, often with a full face of makeup. While this was not every single woman we saw, it was a frequent enough sight to be called a trend.

Culture Trip stands with Black Lives Matter. Your chances of scoring a date are high is you suggest meeting at a bar. Danes are at their most sociable in bars. Plus, many Danish bars have long wooden tables that can be shared by more than one group of friends, so grab one and get into a conversation. Tip: talk with the friends of the person you like before giving your crush extra attention.
This is not the case in Denmark. Here, it is quite common for women to make the first move, a custom which could be attributed to the fact that Danish society has been built on an egalitarian model—everyone is considered equal. Try to be more creative. Make sure to include a six pack of beers if you want to break the ice faster. Danes are stylish , but they rarely wear fancy clothes—they know better than anyone how to combine comfort with style.
A fashionable outfit will definitely be appreciated, but keep in mind not to over do it or you may end up feeling very uncomfortable. In Denmark, it is more common to split although certain people may still carry those traditional expectations. Embrace their directness and enjoy the fact that you have one thing less thing to worry about. Make sure to have learnt the difference before entering the Danish dating scene.
When I was 18 years old I used to believe there is no way one could ever date successfully a person from a different culture. Now the reality is as the world is becoming increasingly borderless intercultural, inter-racial couples are on the way of becoming the norm and that is in my opinion a great thing. I think we should never segregate ourselves based on race, religion, nationality, culture nor any media, family or peer influenced limitations other than choosing the person that genuinely makes us happy.

No account yet? Start here. Hypertension is still one of the most prevalent non-communicable pathological states anywhere on earth. Recent epidemiological data indicate a huge contribution from Russia and Eastern European countries to the global burden of hypertension. Despite numerous attempts to raise awareness of hypertension, its control remains insufficient in this high-risk region.
Though novel drugs and devices are emerging to help manage high blood pressure in these countries, it seems that greater attention should be paid to the health literacy of citizens in rural areas, non-adherence, therapeutic inertia and healthcare sluggishness which are impediments to adequate treatment efficacy. It is expected to remain so for at least the next 20 years . Theoretically, HTN is a modifiable state and a cornerstone of strategies aimed to improve cardiovascular health.
From a pathophysiological perspective, it is obvious that HTN is not purely an increase of blood pressure BP values, but rather a sophisticated web of neurohormonal and haemodynamic interactions. Furthermore, available therapeutic options with proven efficacy and promising device-based procedures are not enough to control high BP in Europe adequately.
This overview aims to address the current epidemiological status of the prevalence of HTN in the region and to highlight the most common reasons for suboptimal BP control.

I was three months into my new life in Berlin and very happy to be dating a German. How authentic , I thought to myself. I was having a true European dating experience. This dinner invite would be our fourth date. The previous ones had gone swimmingly: burgers at a local restaurant, a French film, a walk in Viktoria Park — and now a romantic dinner.
I cycled over to his Kreuzberg apartment with a smile on my face. I wondered what Deutsch delicacies would await me. The smell of onion pervaded the air as I approached his apartment. The period of European history extending from about to — ce is traditionally known as the Middle Ages. The term was first used by 15th-century scholars to designate the period between their own time and the fall of the Western Roman Empire. The period is often considered to have its own internal divisions: either early and late or early, central or high, and late.
Although once regarded as a time of uninterrupted ignorance, superstition, and social oppression, the Middle Ages are now understood as a dynamic period during which the idea of Europe as a distinct cultural unit emerged. During late antiquity and the early Middle Ages, political, social, economic, and cultural structures were profoundly reorganized, as Roman imperial traditions gave way to those of the Germanic peoples who established kingdoms in the former Western Empire.
New forms of political leadership were introduced, the population of Europe was gradually Christianized, and monasticism was established as the ideal form of religious life. These developments reached their mature form in the 9th century during the reign of Charlemagne and other rulers of the Carolingian dynasty , who oversaw a broad cultural revival known as the Carolingian renaissance. In the central, or high, Middle Ages, even more dramatic growth occurred.
The period was marked by economic and territorial expansion, demographic and urban growth, the emergence of national identity, and the restructuring of secular and ecclesiastical institutions.
